New this year, G4H will be partnering with Light the Lamp Hockey School on a half-day, COED Learn to Skate & Play Camp. Led by coaches from both organizations, this camp is suitable for those with limited skating experience, but can also be attended by current initiation or house-level players looking to improve their skating skills (stopping, backwards, etc.).   Please note that while we focus the majority of sessions on skating skills, we do also learn basic stick skills and will be doing off-ice hockey-related activities.  If your child is interested in learning to skate, but is not interested in hockey, we encourage you to consider other camp options.

If your child already knows how to skate competently, we recommend checking out G4H Summer Camp below or Light the Lamp's Summer Camp here.

Equipment requirement for Learn to Skate & Play Camp: Participants must have, at minimum,  skates, helmet and gloves to take the ice (we have sticks they can borrow). Skates can be rented from the pro-shop at the rink as needed (separate cost).  Helmets can be bike or ski if needed, but we encourage the use of hockey helmets with a cage where possible.  Gloves can be ski gloves or mittens, just something to protect child's hands if they need to get up off the ice.  We also highly recommend wearing knee and elbow pads if possible.  These also do not have to be hockey specific and can be for bike, rollerblade, etc.  If you have access to full equipment, we do encourage wearing it.  Please note that this is our only camp that does not require full equipment.
