Meghan hails from Lynnfield, MA and played for Saint Michael's College from 2006 - 2010. A senior captain after serving twice as an assistant, Meghan finished her career leading the team in career games, power-play goals, and short-handed goals.  She was also third in points, fourth in goals, and tied in third for assists.

After graduating from Saint Michael's,

She returned to Saint Michael's in 2013 as an assistant coach and worked in alumni relations, serving these roles through 2018. Meghan then worked for Special Olympics Vermont as the events manager before leaving in 2020 to pursue Girls 4 Hockey full-time.

A USA Hockey Level - 4 Coach, Meghan brings a wide variety of experience to Girls 4 Hockey as she has coached at all levels from beginner and youth to high school and college. Having grown up in an era when opportunities for female hockey players were more limited, Meghan hopes that G4H will assist in advancing the women’s game by creating a positive learning environment, where players gain confidence and love for the game through individualized attention, mentorship, and fun.  She also hopes that the G4H model will encourage more female athletes gain experience with coaching so they can coaching within their communities long-term.

HEAD GOALIE COACH

ASHLEY

WALENTY

Ashley grew up playing competitive hockey in Lake Placid, NY and walked onto the DI Varsity hockey team at University of Vermont.  Ashley graduated in 2009 with a Civil Engineering degree and is currently working for the City of Burlington.

Ashley comes to Girls 4 Hockey with a great deal of coaching experience, having coached at both co-ed and girl-specific goalies camps for Can/Am Hockey and for the Just for Girls hockey camp at Canadian Hockey Enterprises.   In addition to supporting G4H, Ashley recently joined the Burlington/Colchester Girls High School team's coaching staff.

As a coach, Ashley prides herself on getting to know her players as this information helps her create practice plans tailored for each player’s individual needs.  Ashley designs drills to help players hone the skills they already excel at, while teaching them additional skills to help them improve each and every session.  Ashley also believes in breaking down the movements in each drill and in discussing how movements would be used in game.
