NEW! Summer 2026 Boys Skating Development Series by G4H/LTL
For summer 2026, G4H is excited to collaborate with LTL on a boys-specific power skating series to help players preparing for high school, prep school, and juniors-level play. The focus of these clinics will be improving skating technique, posture, and edgework both forwards and backwards, so that players can become faster and more explosive in all areas of the ice. They will also learn the game-situations where these skills often apply, working through them in drills that simulate in-game pressures.
The first part of each session will focus specifically on power-skating, with topics including stride mechanics, weight shift, quick starts, efficient stopping and changing of direction, small area agility and edgework, transitional movements, explosivity and more. The second half of each session will have players apply what they have worked on in competitive drills and game scenarios to help players understand the skill application and form good habits under pressure. Sessions are specifically designed this way to build confidence in movements and to help newly acquired skills translate to game play.
The ice is split into groups based on age/level:
Boys High School Prep - Birth Years 2008 -2013
Designed for players preparing for high school or prep level play
Boys Jr/College Prep - Birth Years 2003 - 2010
Designed for players preparing for prep, junior, or college level play
Groups may be split out further based on age and skill level.
Sessions are led by G4H Head Coach Meghan Sweezey, LTL/P2P Head Coach Leon Lifschutz, and/or G4H Assistant Coach Sally Hoerr. See bottom of page for details on coaching staff.
